Hand-carved shell cameo with a classic profile motif

This round cameo, carved from natural shell, depicts a woman's head in profile with stylized hair relief. The design is clearly rendered and evenly proportioned. The surrounding hair motif forms a closed frame around the central face.

The base is creamy white to ivory in color. The outer edge displays a natural honey- to caramel-colored zone that contrasts clearly but harmoniously with the light center. The surface has a matte to slightly silky appearance, without any noticeable sheen.
